Stewart and I went to Elsa, IL to see the grave of my great great grandfather Louis C. Barbier (1833 to 1906). He emigrated from France in the 1850's to Perry County, then to Alton and then to Elsa. He is your direct ancestor. Without him we would not be here. He raised flowers for shipment to the St Louis market.
